WE ALWAYS LOVE BIG POPPA
Its been so 14 years, wow. It seems like the death of B.I.G happened like 5 years ago. I remember where I was when I found out that he was shot. My mother and uncle went on a ski trip to New England, since I was too young to come, I had to stay with my grandparents. So we were up late watching TV, then it said breaking news "The Notorious B.I.G" was shot. My grandparents said "who is that", they only knew him as BIGGIE SMALLS. So, I said "BIGGIE SMALLS". So we sat up for about another hour to see any new updates, but no news seemed to be present. As a result, we went to sleep. We woke up the next morning to hear that he was prounouned dead at the hospital. All I could was say "Damn" in my mind. I was eleven so I couldn't curse in front of my grandparents. Meanwhile, my grandparents began to discuss the effects of hip hop and the violence it had on young America, which was making me mad because they acted as if their generations was so great. They didn't realize his music was very positive, but at the end my grandfather expressed that he did like him. So while, we were talking we began to hear from the apartment below us began to blast "Juicy". I can remember me rapping along with him.
Wow that was 14 years ago I still can't believe it. But his albums Ready To Die and Life After Death is hip hop classics in my opinion. Above all, it was the anniversary of his death I wanted to share my memory about receiving the news announcing his death. His music is still relevant and in my opinion he's the GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
